Shà is a festival dedicated to champagne, and to chef Giovanni Santoro’s cuisine, based in the Michelin star restaurant Shalai. Every year, it has become a tradition that the last Sunday in August the Pennisi Family organizes a grand party here on the slopes of Mount Etna. This party is defined by an exciting selection of champagne available for tasting. A unique line-up that tells the story of maisons that certainly do not need to be introduced, as the drinks dance gracefully on your palate alongside the special dishes proposed by chef Santoro, exclusively for this party, which change every year. It’s a true party, taking place in front of the Shalai hotel, which is transformed to fit the occasion. The lights, the live music, the excellent champagne, the special custom-made cocktail prepared for the occasion by Taormina’s exclusive bar Morgana, and a tasting dinner with more than ten courses: all of this makes the essence of Shà! Every year we pick a theme to guide the event, to tell one of Sicily’s many stories to match the beautiful extended summer that lasts until late September. The Pennisi Family organized this party to spend nice moments with their guests, and to share the pleasures of the beautiful environment they created.
